About

Amilly (어밀리) is a small Korean studio. It builds games and apps, and it finishes them. The display name comes from the studio's domain, foramillionyears.com.

WHAT WE BUILD

The main project is Ghost Botanica, a story-driven side-view adventure for PC, built in Unity 6 with URP. It is larger than anything else here and it is not finished, and there is no public build yet.

Alongside it we ship smaller work: games that can be finished in one sitting, and utilities that answer one question well. A roguelike that drafts letters of the Korean alphabet, a slot machine wired to an axe, a calculator for the amounts Korean social life expects and never states out loud.

The small work goes out while the large one is still being built. That is deliberate: a small thing is cheap to rewrite when it turns out to be wrong.

HOW WE WORK

A small idea goes to one person who builds it, the build ships, then we look at what happened and the rewrite goes back to the same person.

  • We start with Korean users, because those are the problems we know best.
  • A build in someone's hands tells us more in a week than a document tells us in a month, so we ship early and then look at what happened.
  • Several of our apps keep their data on the user's own device, which keeps the running cost near zero and is simpler to explain.
  • The person who designs a thing is usually the person who builds it.

BUILT WITH CLAUDE

Claude is the core of how we build. Claude Code drives the live Unity editor through the Unity CLI, writes and reviews our C# code, and keeps design docs and decision records in sync with the codebase. That is how a team of six ships more than its size suggests.
